As we near the season of Advent, the ONE LICENSE team has already received multiple questions about the easiest way to report popular liturgical settings. Whether your worshipping community uses Mass or other Liturgical Settings regularly, or only a few times a year, this article seeks to provide you with some tips and tricks to quickly and effectively report the individual titles of covered settings.
To easily report Mass Settings or Other Liturgical Settings, first, be sure you have logged in to your account, and then click “My Account” → “Report Usage.” At the top of the page, you will see a dark gray box with the option to “Browse by: Mass Setting or Other Liturgical Setting.” Click on the type of Setting you would like to report.
If you are primarily interested in reporting Mass Settings, click here to be taken to that portion of this article.
If you are primarily interested in reporting Other Liturgical Settings, click here to be taken to that portion of this article.
Mass Settings
When browsing by Mass Setting, you will see two columns. The first column contains New and Revised Mass Settings for the Order of Mass 2010, and the second contains Other Mass Settings.
The titles included in both columns are clickable so you can see the complete list of individual titles included in that specific Mass Setting. For example, clicking on the title “Mass of Hope (Farrell)” will provide you with the individual entries for each part of the Mass of Hope. From this screen, you can easily report, access files for download, or simply verify that the portion of the Mass you plan to use is covered by your license permissions.
Our Member Publishers have full control over their catalogs and are able to choose which type of downloadable files, if any, they want to provide. Remember that License Holders with reprint permissions are welcome to create their own file for covered titles as well. Alternatively, you are welcome to reach out to the Member Publisher directly, and they may be able to send you a file for your use.
For those who use the same Mass Setting frequently, consider adding the full Mass Setting to your “List” feature. This way, you will have easy access to the Mass and can quickly report the parts you use in a given worship service. We published a great article on this topic in April 2021. Other Liturgical Settings
Many of the other liturgical settings featured in the ONE LICENSE database do follow the basic order of the Mass. However, utilizing the Eucharist sections of these services is often optional. In the Other Liturgical Settings tab, you will also find settings for daily prayer services such as Matins (Morning Prayer), Vespers (Evening Prayer), and Compline (Night Prayer).
By browsing the Other Liturgical Settings option, you will find popular settings such as Now the Feast and Celebration, Holden Evening Prayer, Santo, Do This in Memory of Me, and the St. Olaf Service. Please take a look at the screenshot below for the full list of liturgical setting options available at this time.
All of the titles included on the Other Liturgical Settings page are clickable to bring up the full list of the individual titles included in each Liturgical Setting. Clicking on any of the titles provides you with the individual entries for each title that makes up the setting. From this screen, you can report your use or access files for downloading.
Keep in mind that our Member Publishers have full control over their catalogs and are able to choose which type of downloadable files, if any, they want to provide. Remember that License Holders with reprint permissions are welcome to create their own file for covered titles as well. Alternatively, you are welcome to reach out to the Member Publisher directly, and they may be able to send you a file for your use.
If your worshipping community uses the same Liturgical Settings frequently, consider adding the full setting to our “List” feature. This will allow you to have quick and easy access to the Liturgical Setting, and you can efficiently report the parts you use during your worship service.
