Creating Beautiful Worship Aids that Assist the Praising, Growing, and Serving Church

National Association of Pastoral Musician’s 2018 Convention, Baltimore, MD—Breakout Session

Worship aids assist members of the assembly in their task of full, conscious, and active participation. In addition to containing hymns, ritual music, responses, and an outline of the liturgy, they also serve to draw those using them deeper into prayer.

During this breakout session, Christopher Ferraro led an insightful and participatory discussion on the creation of worship aids (inserting music, layout, etc.) and the benefits of using this style of resource with congregations.  ONE LICENSE was honored to be a guest presenter at this session and provided tips for handling copyrights within worship aids, supplemental hymnals, funeral and wedding booklets, and other printed resources to promote and foster congregational song.

Christopher Ferraro is the director of music at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Lindenhurst, NY. He also serves as the director of the Liturgical Music Institute at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception, Huntington, New York. He is the chair of the NPM Pastoral Liturgy Interest Section, is a member of the NPM Council, and serves on the FDLC Board of Directors.

For the educational benefit of our License Holders, the session is available to view below.  Many thanks to Christopher and his parish for the full, conscious, and active participation in the liturgy, and for bringing this knowledge to our many users!
